- **************THERE IS A CHARGE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS******************* **************THERE IS A CHARGE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS******************* This project consists of asphalt resurfacing on 25.3 kilometers of roadway for Arizona PRA FLAG 10(1). Estimated price range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Major work items are: survey and staking; contractor testing; 500 meters silt fence; 800 cubic meters watering for dust control; removal of structures and obstructions; 2,000 cubic meters sub-excavation; 350 cubic meters backfill; 20.9 kilometers road reconditioning; 7,600 square meters road reconditioning; 3,000 metric tons roadway aggregate; 750 metric tons aggregate shouldering; 1,240 metric tons asphalt cement grade PG 64-28; 195 metric tons antistrip additive; 20,650 metric tons super-pave asphalt concrete pavement; 260 metric tons prime coat; 1,200 meters colored portland cement concrete curb; 720 meters guardrail; 500 meters removing and re-setting guardrail; 3,100 liters pavement markings type B; 85 square meters construction sign. Electronic format for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
