Description

This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources of supply for various quantities of three different Assemblies, which are part of the AB-1373/TRC Mast. National Stock Numbers/Part (Drawing) Numbers/Description (Quantities): 5985-01-348-2342/A3157302-001/Controller Assembly (45 each), 5998-01-385-7809/A3157437-001/Controller Circuit Card Assembly (50 each), and 5998-01-348-2389/A3157435-001/Power Supply Circuit Card Assembly (25 each). The two Circuit Card Assemblies are a part of and go into the Controller Assembly. An option quantity of 100% for each of the three exists, but may or may not be exercised, or may be partially exercised. The only Assemblies that are currently known to be qualified for this application are produced by Orbit Advanced Technologies Inc., 506 Prudential Rd., Horsham, PA 19044, Commercial And Government Entity (CAGE): 0GDL2, under the prime contractor, Harris Corp., 2400 Palm Bay Rd., P.O. Box 37 Melbourne, FL 32902-0037, Palm Bay, FL 32905, Commercial And Government Entity (CAGE): 66948 (or Harris Corp., Harris Communications Products Div. Melbourne, 1025 W. NASA Blvd., Melbourne, FL 32919, Commercial And Government Entity (CAGE): 3X710), under Contract: DAAB07-90-C-J004. Detailed technical data for the test, item acceptance, and Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EPROM) programming of these Assemblies is not available from the Government. No additional data will be provided for this Market Survey. Sources must be capable of supplying all the above Assemblies under one procurement action. The above items must be fully and successfully integrated into the AB-1373/TRC Mast (specifically the Positioner System portion) and its associated communications systems (Antenna Support Group OE-481/TRC with the AS-1425/GRC or AS-3047/GRC-103(V) antenna with the AN/GRC-222 or AN/GRC-103(V) Radio Set on the following DGM (Digital Group Multiplexer) assemblages: AN/TRC-138A, AN/TRC-138B, AN/TRC-173, AN/TRC-173A, AN/TRC-74, AN/TRC-174A, AN/TRC-175, or AN/TRC-175A). Source must be able to deliver all Assemblies to location by September 2002 or sooner. Suppliers capable of furnishing these Assemblies must so indicate by writing to: Commander, CECOM, Attn: AMSEL-LC-COM-C-DT, Building 1202 West (First Floor), Fort Monmouth, New Jersey 07703-5000. The response must include documentation (e.g. test results, copy of purchase order (if the supplier was a vendor to the previous source (Harris Corp. or Orbit Advanced Technologies Inc.)), or a statement from the previous source that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Assemblies that will be form, fit, physically, and functionally interchangeable as well as reliable as / with the Assemblies from the previously known supplier (Harris Corp. or Orbit Advanced Technologies Inc.) of the Assemblies.) Form, fit, and function is to be interchangeable down to the repair parts level, not just at the Assembly or "end item" level. Successful supplier will be required to warrant that the Assemblies supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Government and be delivered on time. The deadline for response to this notice is 16 March 2001.
