NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following items: 1. Maintenance -- Includes Telephone Consultation and Software Upgrades SAMMI Format Editor for Asist Workstation. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 05/01/01 through 04/30/02 Qty: 1 YEAR 2. Maintenance -- Includes Telephone Consultation and Software Upgrades SAMMI Run Time Environment for Asist Workstations. Period of Performance: 05/01/01 through 04/30/02 QTY: 1 YEAR 3. Maintenance -- Includes Telephone Consultation and Software Upgrades Application Development Kit for Asist Workstations. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 05/01/01 through 04/30/02 Qty: 1 YEAR 4. Maintenance -- For SAMMI Format Editor Used by Asist Workstations. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 05/01/01 through 04/30/02 Qty: 1 YEAR 5. Maintenance -- For SAMMI Run Time Used by Asist Workstations. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 05/01/01 through 04/30/02 Qty: 1 YEAR This procurement is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Kinesix Corporation, as they are the originator of this software, and the only vendor that can provide software support for the above mentioned items. The government intends to acquire a commercial items using FAR Part 12. Interest organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 4:30p.m. local time on March 16, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptance in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
