Description

Description: An A-76 cost comparison study is being conducted at Offutt AFB, NE. The total number of positions under study is 1459 (1146 military and 313 civilian). Based on the results of this cost comparison, the Government may elect to award a contract or to retain the functions in-house. One contractor will be selected whose proposal is determined to be the best value based on Source Selection procedures. The Government_s Most Efficient Organization_s proposal will be compared to the best value contractor_s proposal and, after a determination of technical equivalence, the low offer will be announced. If a contract is awarded, it will be firm fixed price with award term and award fee. Contract performance will consist of a five-year basic performance period with options up to three additional years for a maximum of 8 years. This acquisition is solicited under Full and Open Competition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes are 541513 and 561210. The functions under study include Aircraft Maintenance (backshop), Communications, Civil Engineering, Mission Support Services, Supply, and Transportation. The solicitation and all supporting documents will be provided through electronic means. However, due to volume not all documents will be provided through EPS but will be available from the RFP link at the following web site: www.offutt.af.mil/services/contracting/a76.asp.
