Description

The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly owned Government Corporation intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor to provide janitorial services and light maintenance at its National Civilian Community (NCCC) campus in the District of Columbia. The location of the site is #2 DC Village Lane, Washington, DC, 20032. This requirement is for a cleaning contractor to clean and maintain the common areas of the facility on a regular basis. General cleaning shall take place as necessary to maintain all areas in a clean and healthy environment for the corps members, staff, and visitors. The facilities consist of approximately 65,000 square feet of space divided into an administrative area and 4 wings called residential cottages. The administrative area consists of 14 offices (including one copy/supply room), 2 administrative restrooms (to include storage and locker areas) 1 conference room, called the A&S Center, and 1 main entrance. Included is an auditorium that shall be cleaned as needed. The residential area is divided into 4 wings or cottages. Each cottage has 25 sleeping rooms, 68 toilet and sinks, closets, common hallways, 1 day room, kitchen, dining area, and a TVroom/lounge/office. Also included in each cottage are 2 small laundry rooms, 2 common showers, and a janitor's closet. The general cleaning shall include as a minimum: outside front cement area of building and circular driveway to include trash items thrown into the grass in front of the circular driveway and building. The light maintenance consists of lock repairs and changing light bulbs. This requirement will be awarded under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is set-aside for small businesses. The NAIC code for this requirement is 561720 and the small business size standard is $12M. Qualified vendors who are eligible to receive an award for this requirement may obtain a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) by submitting a request in writing (facsimiles accepted) to the office listed in this announcement. Telephonic and e-mail requests will not be honored. Request for copies of the RFQ must be received by March 12, 2001.
