Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing, hereinafter referred to as the BEP, is seeking sources capable of providing armed car carriers for round trip secured transportation to the following city locations, on the dates indicated for the stated quantities (weight): Memphis, TN with show dates for June 15 through 17, 2001 (30 pieces weighing approximately 1500 lbs); Atlanta, GA with show dates for August 8 through August 12, 2001 (35 pieces weighing approximately 1800 lbs); Long Beach, CA with show dates of October 4 through October 7, 2001 (4 pieces weighing approximately 1800 lbs). IMPORTANT -- specific details of each pick up and delivery will be outlined by the BEP approximately four weeks in advance of each trip. Carriers must be on time, carry appropriate credentials and is prepared for DIRECT INSIDE DELIVERY: requiring that movable cart be on truck. In addition, the transportation carrier will be required to supply the names of all transporting personnel to BEP point of contact. Award will be made to the offeror who provides the best value to the Government. This Procurement is not a Small business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 488999, with a business size standard of 5.0 million dollars. All responsible business sources are requested to submit a written quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF18 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, business size standard, and Duns number. Quotes will be accepted on the first day after publication of the notice and a purchase order will be awarded soon after receipt of quotes.
