Description

This project is for the design and construction of a new garage next to the existing one. Project is located at: Forestry Sciences Laboratory, 1831 Hwy 169 E., Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The garage will be approximately 1800 square feet, with the capability for five (5) parking stalls equipped with nearby electrical receptacles and overhead lights. In addition, a sixth parking stall will be constructed as a wash bay complete with in-slab heat, lights and receptacles, power washing equipment, catch basin and drainage. This project also involves site work: removing and increasing the size of the existing parking lot, earthwork to alter existing surface water flow pattern, adding additional catch basins and repaving the new parking lot. The project will be designed and constructed under the Two-Phase Design/Build selection procedures. This notice is not a request for proposals. Interested Offerors may request and obtain a Phase One solicitation of the Two-Phase process. Phase One proposal due date will be identified in the Phase One solicitation. Phase One Solicitation will provide the scope of work, evaluation factors (past performance, capability to perform, specialized experience and technical competence and approach), and submission information for interested Design/Build firms to prepare their Phase One qualification proposals. Phase One qualification proposals will be evaluated to determine which firms will be selected as Offerors for Phase Two. Phase Two participants will submit competitive technical, price, and past performance, proposals as defined in the Phase Two Solicitation. The estimated Design/Build cost is less than $200,000. Design work is scheduled to start approximately June 1, 2001.
