- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego is conducting integration and suitability analysis on PC NT Based products as a part of the DoD Foreign Comparative Testing program. These products, when incorporated into the DII COE will provide capability equal to or greater than the existing products with superior performance, greater interoperability with external systems and a more robust Geographic Information System (GIS). Systems must interface with NATO's Maritime Command and Control Information System (MCCIS), as well as with US Navy Global Command and Control System -- Maritime (GCCS-M). The prospective products when incorporated into the respective systems will promote/improve interoperability between GCCS-M, MCCIS and related systems. The desired results are for each system to seamlessly interoperate and to function individually as a single, integrated, scaleable Command, Control, Computer, and Intelligence (C3I) system that receives, displays, correlates, fuses and maintains geo-locational track information on friendly, hostile, and neutral land, sea and air forces and integrates it with available intelligence and environmental information. In addition to the off-the-shelf product, this is a request for information from firms with knowledge and skills associated with NATO /USN command and control systems. This is not a request for an engineering study. Interested firms shall submit catalogs, brochures or other technical descriptions of their products. Responses shall include actual and predicted performance; technical specifications; maintenance experience in an operational environment and cost per unit. If the technology submitted does not contain the same features listed under technical specifications above, include corresponding characteristics. The information shall be submitted to the Space and Naval Warfare, Attn: Gary Baker, PMW 157-A2, 4301 Pacific Highway, Bldg. OT-3, Room 3924, San Diego, CA 92110-3127 not later than 15 March 2001. Proprietary information submitted in response to the synopsis will be protected when clearly identified as such. This is not a request for proposals nor will this request for information directly result in a contract. The Government does not intend to pay for any information solicited. Acknowledgement of receipt will not be made, nor will telephone inquiries be honored.
