Description

Four (4) medium Standard category helicopters, Type II (9-15 seats, 2500-4999 lbs card weight capacity), (FAR Part 135) Certification Required. Primary use for fire fighting. Aircraft will be based at the following locations: (1) Bald Mountain Helibase, located 19 miles east of Sonora, on HWY 108, estimated contract period from June 1, 2001 through October 16, 2001; (2) Big Hill, located 22 miles northeast of Placerville, CA, next to Ice House Reservoir, estimated contract period from June 1, 2001 through October 1, 2001; (3) Chester AIR attack/ Helitack Base, located at Redding Airport, Redding, CA Directions to Chester Air Attack/Helitack Base: one (1) mile south of Chester, CA, on CA State HWY 36, estimated contract period from June 15, 2001 through October 15, 2001; (4) Trinity Base, located approximately 14 miles north of HWY 299 in Trinity County, CA; estimated contract period from June 10, 2001 through November 15, 2001. Contract duration for all items is one year from date of award, with the possibility of two -- one-year renewal periods. When calling be prepared to state name, address, and solicitation number.
