Description

The Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command is seeking, for information and planning purposes, to identify qualified and experienced sources in the refuse disposal industry interested in providing waste to energy services for activities under the cognizance of the Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command. Services that may be required are firms which have the capability to provide solid waste management services in a manner which maximizes energy and resource recovery. In order to determine the number of sources available, this notice is being issued prior to proceeding with a formal request for proposals. Interested parties should provide a Statement of Interest on company letterhead on or before 9 March 2001. The statement shall include, as a minimum, the following criteria: (a) Point of contract (including phone and facsimile numbers, e-mail address and mailing address; (2) capability and experience in providing waste to energy type services; (3) financial information regarding capacity; and (4) statement of company size classification (small, small disadvantage, small woman owned or large business). The North American Industry Classification System Code for this requirement is 562998 and the average annual receipts for the last three years is $5,000,000.00. The statement of interest may be mailed to the Commander, Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, 1510 Gilbert Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23511-2699.
