Description

This is an amendment to combined synopsis/solicitation RFQ 600-062-01 for CRNA Services, Submission No. 50E546, as posted in CBDNet on 2/23/01. The primary work location for CRNA's will be at the West LA Healthcare Center, 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073. After the orientation period, on an as-needed basis, CRNA's may be assigned to the LA Ambulatory Care Center at 351 E. Temple, Los Angeles, CA 90012 or the Sepulveda Ambulatory and Nursing Home Center at 16111 Plummer Street, North Hills, CA 91343. The assignment at LA ACC or Sepulveda will be for the full day. Both locations are approximately 15 miles from WLA. The estimated number of cases per 7:00 am to 3:30 pm shift are as follows: WLA, 1-3; LA ACC, 4-6; and Sepulveda, 4-6 cases. In addition, here are answers to questions submitted in response to solicitation. 1) On-call is not required. 2) There are currently 11 CRNA's and 9 MD's. 3) No OB cases. 4) VA does Heart cases, but CRNA is not involved. CRNA may be involved in neuro cases. The VA also has major vascular, ortho, GU and general surgeries. 5) CRNA is not required to do spinal and/or epidurals; however, CRNA is required to know how to care and monitor the patients. The anesthesiologists do spinal and epidurals. The deadline for receipt of quotes is unchanged.
