Description

GSA's Automotive Division will be having a pre-solicitation conference to address the changes in procurement methodology of the Standardized Trucks Available Now (STAN) Program. The STAN Program is the normal method of supply for medium and heavy trucks (21,000 GVWR and greater). STAN includes cab and chassis, dump trucks, stake trucks, van trucks, refrigerated van trucks, maintenance trucks, and truck tractors. All vehicles must be built in accordance with the Federal Vehicle Standards 794 or 807. GSA's Automotive Division plans to consolidate the STAN Program into Federal Supply Schedule 23, Part V -- Vehicular Multiple Award Schedule. The presolicitation conference will be at the DoubleTree Hotel National Airport at 300 Army-Navy Drive, Arlington, Virginia, telephone 703-416-4100 on March 28, 2001. It will begin at 8:30 AM. A draft copy of the planned solicitation (Sol. No. FFAH-C2-99-0235-B -- it will state it is a draft solicitation on the header of the solicitation) will be available for download at www.eps.gov in the immediate future.
