Description

The US EPA intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.301, with DSP Technology, Inc., Division of MTS, for remedial maintenance and repair services of the MTS control systems and advanced electronic systems located at Ann Arbor, Michigan. The contractor shall provide parts and labor necessary to provide remedial maintenance, troubleshooting and/or reconfiguring of the equipment. Maintenance and repair shall be performed at any time the system is inoperative or operating with diminished capability. The contractor shall maintain the installed software at its latest release level. Replacement parts shall be paid by the Government at current contractor list prices. It is because of the proprietary nature of their embedded software that MTS is the only contractor that has or can obtain the capabilities to perform maintenance on MTS engine emission testing equipment and on CAS instruments in the Ann arbor Laboratory. The anticipated period of performance is 04/01/01 through 09/30/01, with a 6 month option period. The equipment to be maintained includes software which is password protected and only MTS personnel have access. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
