Description

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is seeking contractors who are certified under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program to perform maintenance on mainframe computer equipment under NAICS code 811212, Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance, and SIC 7378, computer Maintenance and Repair. The main sites for maintenance and repair are Washington, DC, Boyers, PA, and Macon, GA. There are other smaller sites nationwide. Contractor shall provide hardware maintenance service (labor and parts) and related support services and keep the equipment in good operating condition. Hardware maintenance service may require inseparable firmware support from time to time on some equipment. Hardware maintenance service shall not include electrical work external to the equipment, nor the furnishing of normal supplies or consumables. The base contract will be for one year, with four additional option periods. Solicitation OPM-RFP-01-0005JCB is expected to be released 15 days after publication of this notice and will be closed 30 days after release. This is a 100% 8(a) Set-Aside.
