Description

The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 with Cardio-Vascular Evaluation Systems, Inc. for the purchase of a Parks Flo-Lab 2100 integrated computer system. Only one responsible source is avilable. This is a non-invasive unit for doing upper and lower arterial studies and penile studies. Included are two bi-directional dopplers, a two-channel automatic cuff inflator for calibrated volume pulse recording and two PPG skin transducers. The computer communicates with the Flo-Lab so the computer software moves the Flow-Lab to the next test. This procurement also includes a multiport inflator, WINVDB and WINEB which makes this a fully integrated vascular system that allows the importing of data from their vascular system directly into the WinVDB lab management and accreditation software which is an essential requirement for our needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on 3/15/2001 to the contracting officer indicated above. All offers from responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the VA.
