- Description
- The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) has a requirement for a radioisotope, 20 MCI of TC-99M ceretec white blood cell scan. Contract will be set up on an as needed basis for the remainder of this year plus two option years. The Nuclear Medicine Personnel will call for a pick up as needed. The Radiopharmacy will pick-up the patient's blood and tag the white blood cells with radioactivity. The tagged blood cells are delivered back to the CTVHCS Nuclear Medicine Service and then reinjected back into the patient. Time is important. The cells must be returned within 3-4 hours because the out-patient is waiting in the clinic. This is a same-day procedure. Therefore, the Radiopharmacy must be within a 10-mile Radius of CTVHCS. The Radiopharmacy must follow all quality control guidelines set up by Nuclear Regulatory Commission and National Health Physics Program to ensure integrity of product. This contract will cover 5 months of 2001 plus two option years. All responses must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on 3/15/2001 to the Contracting Officer indicated above. All offers from responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the CTVHCS.
