Description
1. The US Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistic Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division, has a requirement for, 2. A The contractor to provide all temporary off-ship Messing and Berthing to personnel onboard USCGC STEADFAST (WMEC 625) located at Sundial Marine, located at 5605 N.E. Sundial Road, Troutdale, Oregon during the period of Lunch on 26 March 2001 and completing 02 April 2001. Contractor shall provide off-ship contract Berthing facilities on a 7 day a week basis for the period which cutter personnel will be unable to occupy staterooms or berthing areas on board the cutter. Off-ship berthing shall be located as close as possible to the vessel without exceeding a 20 minute (one-way) commute during peak rush hours from the vessel. In addition, if off-ship berthing and off-ship messing are provided together, these facilities must be located within a half mile of the vessel. A meeting room in the hotel, capable of holding at least 74 personnel shall be provided in the vicinity of the Commanding Officer's and made available 24 hours per day and seven days per week. The Contractor shall provide off-ship contract Messing (food service) in a commercial restaurant for the period which the cutter will be unable to prepare meals. All menus represent an estimated dietary requirement for one person per day. Servings will not be less than the described portions per day. Meal shall not be repeated within any consecutive seven-day period. The contractor shall provide a personnel check off listing for each meal to provide an accurate count of meals served per day. Restaurant facilities, including food preparation, shall consist of breakfast, lunch, dinner and boxed lunch and dinners on a seven-day per week basis. Estimated number of rooms is 53 and estimated number of meals is 22. A request for quote will be issued on 21 March 2001. This acquisition will be issued as a total small business set-aside. Quote will be due (fax acceptable) on the morning of 23 March 2001. 3. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
