Description

Provide all necessary Architectural/Engineering services for HVAC System Upgrade in Bldg. No. 1 at Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn Campus, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: (1) Upgrading the HVAC System throughout the hospital to provide proper cooling and heating to the patient wards and administrative areas. Upgrade existing controls and devices with modern HVAC controls. Install new air handler unit for inpatient wards. Vacuum clean duct interiors and perform testing and balancing of air conditioning system. (2) The A/E shall provide all services necessary for preparation of a complete design development to include construction documents and construction period services. (3) Work includes: (A) verification of existing as-built drawings. (B) Design development preparation or contract documents and specifications. (C) Detailed cost estimate. (4) Complete contract drawings and specifications including demolition, architectural, plumbing, mechanical and electrical drawings and documents. (5) Provide construction period services to include submittal review, RFI, site visit, inspections, as-built markup. (6) All work shall comply with VA design criteria, NFPA, electrical ashrae codes, etc.. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) COde is 541330. Estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. SF 254's and 255's are due in this office by COB 3/22/01. This is not a request for proposal.
