Description

The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures (under FAR Part 13.5) to Webb Research Corporation, 82 Technology Park Drive, E. Falmouth, MA 02536-4441 (Small Business Concern) for a quantity of up to 50 each Lagrangian Circulation Profiling Floats with air deployment packages. The basis for this proposed non-competitive action is that is that there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements of this Command, as this is the only firm with technically compliant floats having completed C-130 airdrop certification procedures in order to meet Air National Guard safety requirements for airdrop. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no solicitation will be issued.
