- Description
- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis. The services, which are currently provided by Government personnel, were announced for commercial activity cost comparison study in accordance with OMB Circular A-76. The intent of the study is to determine the most efficient and cost effective method of providing Logistics and Support Services at Fleet Technical Support Center, Pacific. The Service Provider will operate and manage those functions that comprise the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and other support services, which include Financial, Travel, Payroll, AIS, Administrative, Secretarial, Maintenance Documentation, and Management Analysis Functions. The geographical and functional scope of this effort includes San Diego, California, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Everett and Bremerton, Washington, Sasebo and Yokosuka, Japan and Singapore. Due to the nature of the ILS work, frequently being conducted on-board Navy ships/submarines, all logistician's must be able to obtain and hold a Secret clearance as provided for in DODINST 5220.22M. To enable the Government to estimate the business type and number of prospective offerors for acquisition planning purposes, provide your company name, mailing address, e-mail address, point of contact, phone number, and facsimile number. In addition, to assist in the planning of the acquisition strategy, respond to the following questions: (1) Is your business a large or small business? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small emergent business or a certified small disadvantaged business (3) Is your firm a certified HUBZone firm? (4) Is your firm a woman-owned business? (6) Is your firm a certified service-disabled veteran owned or veteran-owned firm? This acquisition will be conducted under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811219, which establishes a small business size standard of $5M. All interested prospective offerors must use the internet to respond to Lynda_F_Hall @sd.fisc.navy.mil NO LATER THAN 23 MARCH 2001. Telephone and facsimile responses to this synopsis will not be accepted. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. All qualified offerors responding to this synopsis, including answering the questions will receive one electronic notification when the solicitation is released. The Government is not responsible for non-receipt of this electronic notification. It is currently anticipated that the solicitation will be released by May 14, 2001. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) Web Site http://www.neco.navy.mil
