- Description
- The USCG ELC anticipates awarding a firm fixed price requirements type contract for the repair and maintenance of the MK 29 Mod 1 Gyrocompass and its components in accordance with ELC Specification R-400-299-G. Litton Marine, 1070 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA is the original equipment manufacturer. It is the Government's belief that Litton is the only known repair facility that has the detailed component level test procedures, signal specifications, clean room, equipment mock ups and test fixtures, testing environmental controls and documentation necessary to repair the subject items. Therefore, the Government intents to negotiate directly with Litton Marine . The RFP will be issued on or about April 10, 2001, via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the RFP will not be issued, unless necessary. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the EPS system for the RFP release and all subsequent amendments. However, all responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency. ATTN: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, (DBE) The Department of Transportation (DOT), short-term lending program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate. For further information, (call) 800-532-1169. Internet address: http://osdbuweb.dot.gov. Number Note 22.
