- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation for which proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and the solicitation number is DAHA23-00-T-0061. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are current through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. (Note: If contract is issued under another Government contract, clauses and provisions contained in Government contract will take precedence.) This procurement is solicited on an unrestricted basis using SIC code 7699. Contract performance is thirty days from date of contract award. Teardown & quote is for two each power turbine modules T700-701 SN: GE-L-00914 & GE-L-004656. STATEMENT OF WORK: Vendor is required to pick up module at Houston AASF, Bldg 1183, Ellington Field, Houston, Texas, and return to the same location. Vendor will be responsible for supplying containers for modules and for transportation to and from Houston, Texas. Vendor is to completely disassemble, clean, and evaluate for cost to repair both modules listed above from AH64A (Apache) helicopter engines (Technical Manual #TM55-1520-238-23P). If Unit does not want modules repaired, the Vendor shall reassemble the modules and return to Houston, Texas. Time allocated for the tear down, evaluation and quotation for repair is 30 days from date of contract award. Work shall be performed in accordance with DMWR 1-2840-248-1/2. No repairs shall be performed on modules until Unit has been notified of cost and Vendor has been given a "Notice to Proceed". Agency reserves the right to exercise option to repair modules in accordance with FAR Clause 52.217-8. Quotation for repair is to be provided in the following format: Labor hours X labor rate (prevailing wage rates are applicable), itemized list of repair parts. (Note: The Agency reserves the right to provide any required parts.) Total cost for repair shall be provided for a firm fixed price. Submitted repair proposals shall include a technical statement of discovery and work to be performed. Past performance proposal shall include three references of similar work to include description of work, points(s) of contact, and telephone numbers and statement warranting that Vendor is a "FAA Turbine Engine Repair Facility." Prevailing wage rates are applicable. Include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.222-21, DFARS 252.225-7007, FAR 52.222-26, FAR 52.222-35, FAR 52.222-36, FAR 52.222-37, FAR 52.222-41, FAR 52.222-42, and FAR 52.232-34. Proposals are due March 23, 2001, at 1000 hours (CST).
