- Description
- The National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to negotiate an award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 with Meta Integration Technologies, Inc., 949 Sherwood Avenue, Suite 200, Los Altos, CA 94022. Meta Integration Technologies, Inc. will provide development and enhancement of the GOTS version of Meta Integration's COTS product "Meta Integration Toolset." The purpose of the software is to manage and integrate meta data from/to multiple tools under multiple methodologies, including support for vendor independent model management, model browsing, model conversion, model comparison, model integration, model mapping, and data Extraction, Transformation & Load (ETL). In addition to specific enhancements to the basic GOTS product, enhancements will also include modifying the GOTS product to remain compatible and have the same capabilities as the most recent COTS versions. These modifications will be made as monthly updates of the COTS Meta Integration Toolset are received. More significant enhancements will be made as the quarterly revisions of the Meta Integration Toolset are received. The enhancements and modifications to the basic GOTS product and as a result of the COTS updates/revisions will include: Changes to the Meta Integration Model Bridge to maintain the connectivity and interface with current NIMA Data Engineering Registry and Management Activity (DeRAMA) Software, test and improve the implementation of the concurrency control and the security management on a multiple-use client/server configuration, design and implement the distributed repository aspect in terms of multiple simultaneous repository connections, and improve the reporting capabilities of the Model Comparator and Model Mapper to produce highly customizable (wizard driven) reports that can be published on the web (e.g., HTMAL or XML generation), or imported in the Microsoft Office Suite. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation package is available. Vendors who believe they have this capability should respond in accordance with Numbered Note 22. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. Award is anticipated forty five (45) days after publication of this notice. See Note 22.
