Description

Whiteman AFB, MO is seeking sources interested in providing Satellite Television to private subscribers in six (6) dormitory buildings, with a total of 669 resident rooms, located on Whiteman AFB. Currently the dormitory buildings are centrally wired for cable services and are provided the option of purchasing Cable Television services, and that option will continue to be offered. The satelite service provider will be responsible for installation of all equipment, cabling, etc. in accordance with a License To Use Real Property Agreement, Base Access Letter, and Franchise Agreement, which will be required prior to providing service. Samples of these documents can be found at the Federal Buisness Opportunities Web site listed below. The provider will be expected to offer residents a choice between two different satellite services (by example, Dishnet and DirecTV) and install two (2) dishes per dormitory but only one (1)satelite line to each resident room. Because of the number of cables that can reasonably be buried or strung on the real property, unacceptable interference with the mission and one another, physical resources such as location of communication ducts, and equipment storage space we can only accept one provider of satelite service for all customers in the dormitory buildings.
