Description

The Federal Correctional Institution is seeking a qualified Contractor/Farmer to maintain the vegetation in the area separating the insitution from the public. This area is approximately 100 acres in total, broken into several small quadrants of various sizes. It is anticipated that the contractor/farmer will plant and harvest a crop for market on a majority of the available space. Areas not planted will be maintained at grass height including ditch banks and fence rows. The government reserves the right to approve type(s) of crop planted. In the past the BOP has received a fee in exchange for this service. Payment of fee is required quarterly in advance. Interested parties are usually within 30 miles from the property.
