Description

It is the intent of the U.S. Forest Service, Intermountain Region,Engineering Department, to enter into a sole source procurement with Transportation Research Bond (TRB), 2101 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. 20418. To organize and conduct a 3-day international conference on low-volume roads. The Forest Service is only one of several agencies contributing to the TRB to organize and conduct this conference. The Conference will examine the full range of issues related to low-volume roads, including administration, planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance. Peer-reviewed papers will be prepared and publicized in advance of conference. Conference to be held in Reno, NV in June 2003. TRB has conducted a series of 7 (seven) of these conferences since 1975, and has the required knowledge and expertise regarding low-volume roads and road system.
