Description

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to award a sole source financial assistance agreement to Southern Sierra Research Center for a Yellow-billed Cuckoo Study along the lower Colorado River. This project will entail the capture, mark, and release of Yellow-billed Cuckoos for the purpose of banding, blood sampling, and monitoring using radio-telemetry. The Southern Sierra Research Center has performed, and maintains data from, previous Yellow-billed Cuckoo studies in this geographic locale; therefore we believe the Center is uniquely interested in and qualified for this financial assistance award. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to perform this study. This notice is neither a request for applications nor for proposals. However, all information received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed financial assistance agreement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to compete this financial assistance project. Also, see CBD Note 25.
