Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotations #2QR4-050-01. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. Set aside for small businesses. NAICS code: 111998, size standard $5.0 Million. Project consists of supplying and delivering 2,250 rice or wheat straw wattles (approx. 25' x 9" dia.) to Atlanta, Idaho. The project is located in Atlanta, Idaho, 70 miles northwest of Boise, Idaho. All wattles delivered must meet the State of Idaho, Dept. of Agriculture "weed-free" certification requirements. The rice or wheat straw will be wrapped in a photo-degradable net tied at both ends adequate to prevent loss of straw. Wattles shall be covered at drop-off location to prevent precipitation accumulating on wattles. It will be the contractor's responsibility to off-load wattles at designated sites. Wattles that are broken upon delivery will not be accepted and shall be replaced prior to payment. Drop off location in Atlanta will be determined closer to delivery date. Est. start date is 5/15/01 with completion by 6/1/01.
