Description

NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the acquisition RTM Maintenance Renewal and Upgrade. Items are as follows: Product Qty 1. RTM Workshop upgrade to icManage 20 RTM Maintenance Project thru 12/31/01 2. icWebReview 15 3. icWebFullAccess 5 This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from Integrated Chipware. The software currently being requested is currently in use by the ISAC contract. This procurement continues the maintenance and vendor support currently being supplied by the vendor. A change in vendor would result in complete recently of ISS system specifications and requirements. This would require the ISS program to incur cost that was not expected or planned. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on March 5, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
