Description

The government intends to negotiate and issue a sole source modification to contract F16602-96-D0001 with CenturyTel Wireless, Inc, 4300 Youree Drive, Bldg 3, Ste 100, Shreveport LA 71105 to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide air time for government-owned cellular phones at Barksdale AFB LA. The purpose of this contract extension is to allow the government sufficient time to finalize acquisition processes for follow-on service. Since cellular phone service is necessary on a continuing basis due to mission reuirements, negotiations with the incumbent contractor are required to continue service with the least amount of disruption and cost to the government. Any contractual agreement for these services will be for the period of 1 April 2001 through 30 April 2001. See numbered Note 22.
