- Description
- D- The U.S. Customs Service intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Merant, 9240 Key West Ave., Rockville, Maryland 20850 for a single source change management tool (PVCS Dimensions Pilot). The proposed contract will provide for a base and five option periods in order to replace the in-house written Change Control (CC) systems. By replacing these tools, a large amount of duplicate work will be eliminated, as the current tools do not interface with each other. The new tool will provide for all application platforms, environments, systems, and programming languages used by the Office of Information & Technology and throughout the U.S. Customs Service. It should be noted that Merant holds proprietary ownership to this unique software design. Any questions should be directed in writing to Elizabeth Heitz, Contracting Officer, U.S. Customs Service, Procurement Division, Suite 4.2E, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, D..C. 20229. See Note 22.
