THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR [GATE VALVES FOR 9FT VACUUM CHAMBER ]. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is answer questions pertaining to this solicitation as follows: Question No. 1: Item #3 part number 305005-4X is a special designed valve. Are there drawings available? Answer: Item #3 refers to a pneumatically actuated valve with 13.5" OD ASA flanges attached (A flange of this type was not listed as a standard MDC part, therefore it would have to be assembed). The part description provides sufficient detail regarding the flange geometry. Question No. 2: Item #4 part number 305002 denotes an pneumatically controlled valve not a hand operated valve. Can you clarify? Answer: The part # for Item #4 should be 304002 for a hand operated valve. The due date for receipt of offers [is] extended to [4:30p.m.(CST) 3-23-01]. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on [3-23-01]. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
