- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) intends to award a sole source contract to Rockwell Collins, Incorporated, Government Systems, 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498 for supplies and services in support of the AN/ARC-182(V) Reuse Program. The proposed procurement is to provide supplies and services required for modification/upgrade of existing fleet assets of AN/ARC-182(V) receiver-transmitters and controls. The current family of receiver-transmitters and controls consists of the RT-1250A/ARC, RT-1360A/ARC, RT-1498/ARC, C-10319A/ARC, C-10776A/ARC. Estimated quantities for each of these items range from one to sixty units per year with a required delivery schedule beginning nine to twelve months after contract award or option exercise. Delivery shall be made to various locations throughout the continental United States as well as to FMS customers. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Rockwell Collins is the sole designer, developer and currently the only qualified manufacturer of the AN/ARC-182(V) Radio-Transmitter and Controllers and as such has the requisite knowledge to perform this effort within the required time frame. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract shall be awarded for a base period of one year with four one-year options. While this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability to respond to this requirement and may submit information which will be considered by the Naval Air Systems Command.
