Description

The Dahlgren Division, NSWC, intends to purchase on a sole source basis ten (10) each of P/N VRV-200-1, VME STORAGE MODULE from Vanguard Rugged Storage LLC, 6525 Gunpark Drive, Suite 370-510, Boulder, Colorado, 80301. These storage modules are to include 40 gigabyte DDS-4 Tape Drive, SCSI Ultra-2 LVD Interface; 18 gigabyte Hard Disk Drive, SCSI Ultra-2 LVD Interface; Transition Board to connect with Force CPU-54 Transition board; 2 SCSI-2 ribbon cable assemblies. These storage modules will be used in the Engineering Development Model (EDM) for the MK160 MOD 9 and 10 Gun Computing System enclosure, an element of the MK 34 Gun Weapon System (GWS). The items must interface to a Force CPU-54 transition board for connectivity, and the VME Mass Storage Modules from Vanguard Rugged Storage are the only modules known to provide this connectivity. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13).
