Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a sole source procurement to Summit Engineering Group, Waldorf, MD, to continue the finalization and updates of the Tactical Control System (TCS) Life Cycle Cost (LCC) estimates, with particular emphasis on the Operational Support phase, for the Navy/Marine Corps Vertical Takeoff Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (VTUAV) and the TCS program offices. Successful completion of this effort requires intimate knowledge of the initial TCS Program Office Life Cycle Cost Estimate (POE), and the cost model for the TCS program. The life cycle cost model developed by Summit Engineering, forms the basis of the TCS (POE) and it has been incorporated into the Life Cycle Costs (LCC) estimates and other related cost efforts. Summit Engineering Group is the only known source with the in-depth knowledge necessary to perform this effort to meet schedule requirements. The estimated period of performance is June 2001 through May 2002. See Notes 22 and 26.
