The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a Competitive basis,2 each -- Bridgeport OR EQUAL Milling Machine w/48" Table, 12" cross and 36" longitudinal travel, manual feeds on table and cross feed, Model "2JS" OR EQUAL variable milling, drilling and boring head, automatic down feed, spindle speeds infinitely variable 60 to 4200 RPM, 3 HP (30 min) Motor, with One Shot Lube, and Machine Light. Minimum Specifications are as follows: Range: X axis travel -- 30" min, Y axis travel -- 12" min, Quill travel -- 5" min, Ram travel -- 12" min, Knee travel -- 16" min, Maximum weight if workpiece -- 750lbs. Table Size: Standard -- 48" x 9", T-slot size -- .625". Spindle: Power Rating -- 3 HP 30 min duty cycle 2 HP continuous, Taper -- R8 taper. Speed Range: High (infinitely variable) -- 500-4200 RPM, Low -- 60-500 RPM. Power Requirements: 460 Volts. Optional Equipment: Digital Readout -- Acu-Rite X, Y, Axes DRO 200 M, Power Feed -- X-axis, Y-axis, Knee, Automatic Lubrication, Chrome Plated Horizontal ways and gibbs and Chrome screws. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation number is N68936-01-T-0096. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. Delivery is required on or before 15 May 2001. NAWS China Lake, CA FOB point is Destination. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and there are no addenda to the provision.
