Description

The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP 797-NC-01-0010 for the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) and Department of Defense's (DoD) requirements for 1.) Methenamine Mandelate 500 mg tablets, bottles of 100s, estimated annual usage of 4,025 bottles and 2.) Methenamine Mandelate 1gm tablets, bottles of 100s, estimated annual usage of 6,928 bottles. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA and DoD, however, estimated quantities for Indian Health Services and the Bureau of Prisons may be added to the solicitation later. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors (PPV). Tablets must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.), glass bottles will not be acceptable and if offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including option years. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of April 5, 2001, from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management's (O&AMM) internet web site at http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm.
