Description

This is a combined Synopsis/ Solicitation for commercial items described herein and is prepared in accordance with the format specified in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information contained in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested in response to this notice. A written Request for Quote will not be issued. RFQ No. DADA15-01-T-0274, is for the following items: 0001: 1 Each NMW 1000 NanoChip Molecular Biology Workstation which incorporates 1 Nanochip Loader, 1 Nanochip Reader, Operating Software, SNP/Repeat Data Analysis Software, built in system controller, 17" color video monitor, 220/110 VAC 50/60 Hz, 8 solvent and waste bottles, 4 Nanochip Calibration Cartridges, and start-up kit; 0002: 50 Each NCC 1004 NanoChip Cartridges, unaddressed, 100 electrode microarray cartridges with strepavidin permeation layer, (Box of 4); 0003: 1 Each NGE 1001 Gene Expression Module Unit -- includes the gene expression analysis software; 0004: 5 each NAS-1000 Application Support which includes applications development. All items are solicited on an OR EQUAL basis. The workstation is a fully automated, multi-purpose molecular biology workstation that facilitates both SNP and STR analysis. The system performs rapid identification and analysis of biological molecules. The requirement includes on-site installation, training, software customization as necessary, and full commercial warranty. Award will be made on the basis of low price. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses through FAC 97 -- 20. Provisions & clauses applicable to this requirement are: FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offers- Commercial Items (OCT 1995); FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations & Certifications -Commercial Items (JUN 1996), offerors shall return a completed copy of this provision with their quote; FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms & Conditions -- Commercial Items (AUG 1996); FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms & Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items (AUG 1996). Interested parties are invited to submit a written proposal with information showing a bonafide ability to meet this requirement. Offers must be received at the MCC-NA, Bldg T-20, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC 20307-500 Attn: A1 Bariatti by COB 2 April 2001. One award will be made for all line items. The Government may award a contract on the basis of initial offers received without discussions.
