17. This is an amendment to CBD Submissin No. 50C9W5, published February 7, 2001. A revised Performance Requirements Document (PRD) is now available on the web for viewing at the URL listed below. Also, the anticipated solicitation release date has changed from mid-March to mid-May. Sources are being sought for the unrestricted portion of the Ft. Myer Military Community (FMMC) base operation functions as conducted by the Military District of Washington Acquisition Center (MDWAC). The FMMC area encompasses Ft. Myer located in Arlington, VA; Ft. McNair located in Washington, D.C.; and two communication tower sites at Tysons Corner, VA and Suitland, MD. The functions identified at FMMC as commercial activities under OMB's A-76 Circular include: Public Works; Logistics; Plans, Training, Mobilization & Security; Office of the Commander; Headquarters Command; Resource Management; and Personnel & Community Activities. These functions provide for environmental, engineering, housing, operations & maintenance, supply & services, postal, history program management, general management, administrative, training, planning, personnel and training support services for military, recreation, library, marketing, and business operations. Government personnel are currently performing these services. MDWAC requests that industry carefully review the Performance Requirements Document (PRD) at http://mdwsps2.belvoir.army.mil/a76.htm. and if interested in becoming a prime or subcontractor, provide the following information: Name and address of firm, size of business (large, small, small disadvantages, 8 (a), HUBZone, Veteran-owned, and/or woman-owned in accordance with the North American Industry Classification System), a brief narrative describing your company's core business and/or area of expertise, and whether your company is interested in performing the services under this A-76 study as a prime or subcontractor. MDWAC intends to issue two solicitations, one to be set-aside for small business concerns for Central Issue Facility and Clothing Equipment & Repair functions and the second will be an unrestricted study open to all business sizes that will cover the remaining commercial activity functions. This announcement is requesting sources for the unrestricted action only; the SBSA sources sought synopsis will be announced separately. It is anticipated that a full and open competitive Fixed Price Award Fee RFP will be issued in mid-May containing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561210 for Base Maintenance with a size standard of $20 Million. All questions and comments received by potential offerors will be considered by the government in preparation for the final RFP. Any changes made will be at the sole discretion of the contracting officer. PROPOSALS ARE NOT REQUESTED AT THIS TIME AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Any information submitted is voluntary. The government will not pay for any information that is submitted in response to this request for industry comment. The unrestricted PRD (updated 3/15/01 Version) may only be viewed at http://mdwsps2.belvoir.army.mil/a76.htm. The government will not provide hard copy (paper sets) or CD-ROM of the PRD.
