Description
This is an AMENDMENT to the combined synposis/solicitation for Portable Airfield Lighting System(s) (PALS) posted on the CBDnet March 21, 2001. Under the Specifications, Section C-1.5 Operational Environment, is changed to read: "Functionally operational and maintainable in combat where aircraft take off and land. The system shall withstand and operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit to plus 120 degrees Fahrenheit including solar radiation. Nuclear hardening is not required." Under the LZ Specification, change the first sentence under C-2.1.1., Landing Zone Lighting to read: "A man-portable (i.e., maximum of 40 pounds for one person, maximum of 80 pounds for two people, maximum of 120 pounds for three people) subset of the PALS shall be cabable of independently marking rotary wing tactical Y landing zones (LZ) during day and night operations." Also, proposals are due no later than 25 April 2001, 2:30 p.m. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
