Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), has a requirement for sixteen (16) Three-Channel Recording Modules and associated mounting hardware with three(3)Channel Cards each containing 16-bit ADC and programmable signal conditioning,which it intends to purchase through Pacific Instruments Inc using other than full and open competition. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Pacific Instruments is the only company which can provide the Three Channel Digital Recording Modules compatible with the equipment currently being used by NSWCCD that uses recording module software which is proprietary to Pacific Instruments. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. All responsible sources submitting offers will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
