- Description
- Thread, Sewing, ST/41 Invisible Read Eight (8) spools per package/box used in U.S. Passport. Stock shall be pure, long staple, sound cotton fiber, lint-free and having a heavy bookbinding finish. It must loop properly and be suitable for use on the UNO passport line on cushion or "King" base tubes. The finish is to be glace for smooth running and have no knots or thick splices that would cause interruption in production. Products delivered under any resulting contract shall strictly comply with the approved samples as to the characteristics listed for examination and shall conform to the specifications as to all other characteristics. The following product has already met the specifications and has been place on the Qualified Product List: Product #ST/41, (Luminescence Incorported, Essex, England)and will be awarded as a sole source procurement. A one spool sample is required. All request for this procurement must be e-mailed or faxed. No telephone requests for this procurement will be honored. Unless determined to be in the Government's interests, this acquisition will not be delayed in order to provide an offeror with an opportunity to meet the standards specified for qualification.
