- Description
- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has a requirement to award a contract for providing "Training and technical assistance in the analytic/quantitative skills area and intuitive/people oriented skills area for States, local and county governments, national organizations, and other entities designated to develop local comprehensive systems of care for all mothers, infants, children and their families." The technical assistance activities in support of the development of local systems of care will be based on, but not limited to the following: Analytic/Quantitative Skills, including, but not limited to, needs assessment, quality assurance, planning and program evaluation; and Intuitive/People Oriented skills including, but not limited to marketing, coalition building, linkage building, government relations, and fund raising/sustainability. The purpose of this technical assistance initiative is to support the development of skills to be used by community organizations which are working to develop local systems of care. The contractor in providing technical assistance shall work closely with the Federal Government. central office and regional offices, as well as State and local and county health departments. The second major facet of this contract will be to train a cadre of individuals to assist State and county/local governments and other organizations to develop comprehensive health care delivery systems for all mothers, infants, children, and their families in local areas. This capacity building effort also shall include individuals in the States, HRSA Office of Field Operations and Field Offices, the Central Office of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), previous CISS demonstration grants, as well as individuals who have provided consultation successfully throughout the course of this contract.
