Description

This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Solicitation number is DAAE24-01-Q-0023 and this procurement is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336312 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. This will be a firm fixed price contract, with scheduled deliveries. The bid schedule is as follows: Line item 0001 Cylinder Head $_______________ (EA) x 160 = Total of $_________________. Quote must include unit price and total price. SPECIFICATION: LINE ITEM 0001790 Engine (RTS), M88, AVLB, M60A3. Line item 0002 Engine Block, Diesel, TACOM P/N 10951304 $___________(EA) x 50 = Total of $_____________. Quote must include unit price and total price. SPECIFICATION: LINE ITEM 0002 12 Cylinder AVDS 1790, Includes Oil Seal Housing Assy (P/N 8725144), Oil Seal Housing Support (P/N 8725181), Main Thrust Bearing Cap (P/N 8725141), MFR-General Dynamics, Condition Code "H" Blocks must be able to be reclaimed/repaired to useable CC "A" or "B". TACOM P/N 11684108, CAN'T ACCEPT METALIZED CYLINDERS. DELIVERY: CYLINDER HEADS : DELIVERY MAY BE MADE BY EITHER OF THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULES: (1) TOTAL QUANTITY FOURTEEN DAYS AFTER AWARD OR (2) SCHEDULED DELIVERIES 36 PER MONTH FOR THE FIRST FOUR MONTHS AND 16 DELIVERED DURING THE LAST MONTH. ALL CYLINDER HEADS SHALL BE DELIVERED WITHIN FIVE MONTHS AT THE SAME TIME EACH MONTH. OFFEROR MUST SPECIFY DELIVERY SCHEDULE IN QUOTE. DELIVERY : ENGINE BLOCKS SHALL BE SCHEDULED DELIVERIES AS FOLLOWS FIRST DELIVERY FOURTEEN DAYS AFTER DATE OF AWARD FIVE (5) EACH AFTER DATE OF AWARD AND FIVE (5) EACH PER MONTH FOR THE NEXT NINE MONTHS TO BE DELIVERED SAME TIME EACH MONTH. Engine Blocks must be repairable to CC "B" at minimum. Government will only pay for useable Engine Blocks. The Engine Blocks which does not meet the said standards will be picked up by the Contractor at no expense to the Government.
