- Description
- The Wapato Irrigation Project (WIP) owns and operates an equipment service complex located at 413 South Camas Avenue, Wapato, Washington. Two underground storage tanks located at the site are used to fuel service vehicles utilized by WIP. In resolution to environmental issues overseen by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Region 10, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and WIP agreed to perform a supplemental environmental project in which the two 12,000 gallon tanks would be permanently closed and replaced with an aboveground storage tank fuel delivery system.***
