- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a requirement for the System Development and Demonstration (SDD) of the Organic Airborne and Surface Influence Sweep (OASIS) System in support of the Program Executive Office for Mine and Undersea Warfare (PEO MUW). OASIS shall provide an organic high area clearance rate magnetic/acoustic influence minesweeping capability to be employed by the MH-60S helicopter or surface craft in support of the Carrier Battle Group (CVBG) and the Amphibious Ready Group (ARG). OASIS will satisfy the U.S. Navy's need for a rapid, wide area coverage mine clearance capability required to neutralize magnetic/acoustic influence mines. The goals for OASIS include a high area clearance rate, a high-speed transit by helicopter, and acoustic and magnetic influences combined in a single towed body. Specifications will be contained in RFP N00024-01-R-6330. The solicitation will be posted on the INTERNET on or about 16 April 2001. No hard copies will be made available. Offerors are hereby notified that any written requests submitted for copies of the solicitation will not be acted upon. To access the solicitation electronically, use one of the following methods. This solicitation will include related files (i.e., RFP Sections A through M, CDRLs and technical documents) listed under the solicitation number that can be downloaded directly to your workstation. There is a classified attachment to the Solicitation that potential offerors must request directly from NAVSEA.
