Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman Corporation, 7301 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland 21784 for engineering services to include firmware development and any incidental software development requirement(s), and hardware support for sustainment of the AN/TPS-63B Radar System. Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor for the AN/TPS-63B Radar System and has developed the system hardware and software and performed all aspects of system integration. The entirety of this work effort will be engineering solutions to mitigate the dual effects of AN/TPS-63B component part obsolescence and non-availability as was previously identified within the boundaries of the Department of Defense's Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages Program. The overall scope of the firmware, software, and hardware support, will, to the degree contractually specified, predictably and categorically include varying requirements for development, fabrication, testing, installation, and integration within USMC and Joint air defense architectures; and specified correlating logistic support across the spectrum of development through product and/or service post delivery. The engineering solutions will be implemented as Engineering Change Proposals (ECP). The current number of ECP requirements identified is ten. However, this number could change and could ultimately include more significant reliability and performance upgrades. Each ECP will be supported by stipulated engineering design, analysis, prediction, and engineering maintenance support data and logistics support data and services principally in the areas of supply support, training, and maintenance. See Numbered Note 22.
