Description

Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area Road Rehabilitation, Tell City Ranger District, Hoosier National Forest, Perry County, Indiana. This project is for the rehabilitation of approximately 2.99 miles of Forest Road No. 1122.000 in the Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and incidental supplies to perform the specified work. Work will include, but is not limited to, 1) Culvert Replacement (approximately 18" [1,108 LF], 24" [209 LF], 21"x 15" [156 LF], 42"x 29" [112 LF]); 2) Road Dig-outs (approximately 39,000 square feet); 3) Bridge Deck Replacement (3 bridges approximately 18 feet long each); 4) Pavement Overlay, Asphalt approximately 3,600 tons); 5) Installation of Gabion Basket Wall (approximately 60' long x 9' high); 6) Roadside Brushing; and 7) Gate Replacement (2 gates). A pre-bid showing/site visit will be held at a date to be determined. Bid Items will consist of Base Bid Items and Additive Bid Items. If sufficient funding is available at the time of bid opening, all bid items (base and additive) will be awarded. If sufficient funds are not available at the time of bid opening, the base bid items will be awarded and such additive items that fit within the funding limits will also be awarded. This project will be solicited using sealed bidding procedures and will be solicited on an unrestricted basis (no set-aside). Estimated project value is between $500,000 and $750,000.
