Description

This is a Pre-invitation notice. The work includes but is not limited to the following: The project consists of demolishing and removing Building K-61,at the Naval Station, Newport, RI, a one story wood framed structure of approximately 32,000 SF. The work will include removing electrical and mechanical equipment, facility foundation, structure, slabs on grade and all underground and above ground utility systems. Top soil and seed the entire disturbed area. In addition, this work will include removing and disposing of asbestos and lead containing materials. The contract will be a firm fixed price lump sump award. The NAICS code is 235940 (formally SIC Code) and the size standard is $11.5 million. The estimated cost range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The proposed solicitation is Unrestricted. There is a non-refundable charge for the plans and specifications. One set of plans and specs will be sent via first class mail. The fee to be charged along with the address for you to send in your request will be stated in the CBD once this office is ready to issue the subject solicitation. This pre-invitation notice does not serve as your request for plans and specs. PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD OF A CONTRACT.
