Description
Project LXEZ 01-2902, Demolish Building 725: Work includes but is not limited to demolition, removal, disposal of entire facility and surrounding smaller facilities (i.e., storage sheds, pump stations, ect...) including asbestos containing materials, utilities, excavation, backfill, compaction, hydroseeding, restoration of site and other incidental related work necessary to complete this project in accordance with specifications and drawings. ADDITIONAL DESCRIPTION: 1. Removal and disposal of building 725, including the smaller structures around it (i.e., power and pump stations, decorative block wall, and concrete walkways -- to include stairs/pads/manhole), is a 2-storey concrete structure with approximately 50,110 square feet of ground floor area. Removal work shall encompass the entire structure -- to include its foundation, utilities, and asbestos containing materials (ACM). Additionally, work shall include (with the exception of areas indicated within the work limits that are to be illustrated in future drawings and specifications) the removal of all asphaltic concrete (AC) pavements. 2. Line items will be incorporated in the final version of the contract to facilitate re-grade, fill materials and hydro-seeding (if required); to establish a well-graded ground surface with sufficient slope to avoid drainage problems. As it stands, the graded area shall follow the general contour of the adjacent areas, and the area affected by the demolition work will need to be hydro-seeded. 3. The dimensions and locations of structures to be removed will be verified in the field. Also, the contractor shall verify the project site and satisfy himself as to the existing conditions where the work is to be accomplished.
